We facilitate support for manufacturers through our collaboration with the Department of Energy (DOE) Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) network. We assist SMMs in identifying the nearest ITAC. This network provides SMMs with no-cost/low-cost facility audits to identify and evaluate energy efficiency and other sustainability practices and drive improvement. By participating in this program, companies can gain valuable insights into their energy utilization and resource management, vital components in building sustainable operations. Qualified ITAC assessments allow SMMs to be eligible to receive DOE assistance up to $300,000 to implement energy-saving improvements.

DMSCA guides SMM members in utilizing our Corporate Member Siemens IP Carbon Footprint App to assist in tracking, managing, and reducing their GHG emissions through automated data collection and analysis. Additionally, we help make connections to other federal and private funding programs that may be used to offset the 50% matching grant requirement. Subject to availability, matching support maybe provided through the DMSCA Supplier Development Foundation.
